NEW DELHI (PTI): The 163rd session of the Rajya Sabha the Upper House of Indian Parliament commencing from April 27 will have altogether nine sittings.

Five members elected from the trouble-tom Northern Indian State of Punjab will be administered oath on the opening day according to Rajya Sabha sources.

The House will have four sittings” in April between 27-30 and five sittings next month between May four and eight the sources added.

The House will transact private members’ bills on April 30 and May eight while government business would be performed in remaining sittings.
