ELECTION NOTICE

* This is to notify the Sikh Sangat that in accordance with the present Constitution and its bylaws, the election of seven sewadars of the Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee of Gurdwara Stockton will be held on Sunday, March 6, 1988.

* The election program will be as follows:

  1. Those persons of Sikh Sangat, who are desirous of seeking election or are interested to take part in the process of election should enlist themselves as voters by paying $12.00 to the treasurer of the Management Committee by January 24, 1988 by 2:00 p.m.

The membership forms can be obtained from the Treasurer.

  1. The list of voters (who had enlisted themselves before the prescribed date and time) will be placed in the Gurdwara Hall for the benefit of the Sangat on January 31, 1988.

Those persons who would like copies of the voters’ list should contact the Secretary of the Management Committee with a written request so as to enable him to prepare those copies and forward the same to the concerned persons.

  1. Any voter (who had registered him/herself within the specified time) and who is desirous of seeking election to one of the seven vacancies of the Sewadars should submit their nomination papers duly proposed and seconded by the bona-fide voters to the Secretary of the Management Committee of Sikh Gurdwara Stockton by February 14, 1988, up to 2:00 p.m.

The nomination forms can be obtained from the Secretary of the Management Committee.

4, The last date for the withdrawal of nomination papers is February 21, 1988 at 5:00 p.m,

5, The final list of contesting candidates will be announced from the stage of Gurdwara Sahib on February 28, 1988.

The election if necessary will be held on March 5, 1988.
