Has the Indian Governments behavior in Khalistan improved so much that you now abandon the road to Khalistan? Last year, on April 13, at Talwandi Sabo on Baisakhi Day, you boldly advised the Sikhs that sovereignty was the only solution for the Sikh Nation and that we should all peacefully agitate for a free and independent Khalistan. Today, it appears that this call for bold action has now been replaced by timid surrender to the Indian Government.

You and others in the newly formed Akali Amritsar faction are confusing and disappointing the Sikh Nation by calling on Sikhs to participate in yet another bout of Indian Government-sponsored elections, The longer we participate in elections under the Indian Constitution, the sooner Sikhs and Sikhism will cease to exist A Free Khalistan is the sine qua non for the survival of the Sikh Nation.

Look to our neighbors in the north, the Kashmiris, On paper. Kashmir has maximum autonomy, but in reality, oppression of Kashmir is by the dictators in New Delhi rivals the oppression we face here in Khalistan. Are you so naive as to believe that Sikhs will enjoy greater freedom under Indian Government elections?

Sikhs deserve to know why you are making contradictory statements. Why do you now endorse elections held by this brutal regime? Have you forgotten the tens of thousands of Sikhs who have been killed by the very government you now endorse by participation in its bogus elections? Does not the memory of Sant Bhindranwale, Jagdev Singh Khudian, Jathedar Kaonke, Advocate Bhatti and all the others touch your conscience if not your intellect? History has shown that the Indian Government will see all Sikhs killed before giving over even a modicum of self-rule.

Mr. Tohra, as statesmen with respect and experience in leading the Sikh Nation, it is in your power to lead their Shantmai Morcha. I can assure you, as President of Council of Khalistan that the international Sikh community will support you with all the resources we can marshal. If any leader in Punjab, Khalistan is willing to raise the slogan of “India Quit Khalistan,” and call upon the Sikh masses to engage in a Shantmai Morcha, that struggle will capture the attention of the international community and now is the time.

Your latest endorsement of Indian Government elections betrays the deepest desires of the Sikh Nation and the memories of the tens of thousands of Sikhs, who have died for freedom, Make your choice Mr. Tohra, choose the path to freedom by choosing Khalistan, or stay in bondage by endorsing another round of useless elections. Under Delhi’s tyranny. The choice becomes clearer Mr. Tohra when you remember that Delhi has dissolved elected Punjab Government’s 10 times and imposed Presidential Rule

Mr. Tohra, the Sikhs want Khalistan. They said so on October?, 1987, when the Panthic Committee declared Khalistan a sovereign and independent nation, They said so again in the 1992 elections in which over 95% of the Sikhs boycotted the elections. But you and other Sikh leaders ignored these mandates for freedom and in doing so you severely compromise your leadership role. The Sikhs will never forget their martyrs, but in the same vein, the Sikh’s will never forget those who ultimately betray the Panth.
