Quebecers will vote on Sept. 12 in an election that may well alter the political future of Liberal Party ‘of Premier Daniel Johnson in Quebec. The Liberal Party is trailing badly in the polls, Quebec’s governing federalist Liberal Party is pitted against the separatist Party Quebecois, which promises to hold a referendum on Quebec sovereignty within 8 or 10 months of its forming the government. The provincial election is principally between the Liberals who have been in power since 1985, and the Party Quebecois Headed by Jacques Parizeau, who is bent upon making Quebec an independent country by breaking up Canada, He is misleading the people of Quebec. It is a fiction of his imagination that Quebec will become independent. There is no reality in it. In my opinion it is impossible to make Quebec an independent country whatever may be the results of said election or of the referendum. There is nothing in the constitution of Canada to indicate that Quebec has any such right of separation or Independence, The People of Quebec will be wasting their votes by voting for the Party Quebecois which is bent upon to break up Canada.

I am fully convinced that the people of Quebec are fed up with the Liberal Party. It has been in power since 1985 and has not ruled up to their expectations – then wants a change. It is very rare that any party would succeed after remaining in power for nine years. Certainly the people will look for a change. It is for these reasons the Liberal Party is trailing badly in polls. Now the people of Quebec may be feeling that they have to make a choice between the two evils, i.e., the Liberal Party and Party Quebecois. I must say here with emphasis that the Party Quebecois is not only a greater evil but it is the greatest evil for the Canadians.as it has a dishonest motive for causing the breakup of Canada. PQ Leader, Jacques Parizeau perhaps is dreaming of becoming the Prime Minister of Quebec after the separation of Quebec by breaking up Canada, in my sincere, opinion he is indulging in day dreaming of the worst type. Most of the people of Quebec love Canada and do not want to separate from Canada, but at this stage want a change from the Liberal Party Government of Quebec. Hence most of the people of Quebec are likely to vote for Party Quebecois which may form the next government in Quebec.

It is almost contains that if the Party Quebecois forms the next Government in Quebec it is likely to go in for referendum within the next eight to 10 months after forming the Government. Let us assume that the Party Quebecois is successful in such a referendum, what could happen? Quebec has no constitutional right for separation. The net result from such a referendum would be nothing, | assure and reassure all that it will be most frustrating news for the Party Quebecois Leader Jacques Parizeau, and his associate, Bloc Quebecois Leader, Lucian Bouchard, that the people have rejected separation and opted to stay with Canada. It is for these reasons I say that the Quebecers must vote for the Liberal Party thought it may be distasteful for them to allow it to continue in power.

‘If Parti Quchecois forms the next government in Quebec, it will not be sincere or faithful to the people Of Quebec since it has the evil design to separate Quebec from Canada. Why give this dagger of slaughter to these butchers who are bent upon breaking up Canada for their own selfish ends. How could an arm | amputated from body could bring prosperity to itself when the main blood line is from body is cut off which used to feed it generously. These two leaders are not only stabbing Canada but also inflicting fatal injuries to Quebec. It is just like asking a very young girl to run away from home to jungle where she would find all comforts of life far better than her own home. This is all foolish. They are hoodwinking the voters   into thinking that there will be another chance eight or 10 months down the road to say “No” to separation. It is better to nip the evil in the bud rather than to allow it to flourish.

I would implore the members of my own Sikh community and other communities living in Quebec and other parts of Canada to do their part to ensure that the Party Quebecois suffers a humiliating defeat in the next election so that it may not raise its ugly head for seeking a referendum on the future of Quebec. To be honest, I am not a member of the Liberal Party or sending this message to promote its political fortunes. I am sending this message to tell the Quebecers that it is in their own interest and in the interest of Canada that Quebec remains an integral part of Canada. In the interest of unity and integrity of Canada, long live Canada.
