NEW DELHI: G N Mehra, a senior officer of the Indian administrative service will be the new Indian high commissioner to Canada, an official announcement here said Friday.
A foreign ministry spokesman said Mehra 57 was presently an officer on special duty in the industry ministry.
Mehra who joined the IAS in 1955 has served as secretary in the information and broadcasting ministry, chief secretary in Uttar Pradesh, and advisor to the government of Bhutan.
