CHANDIGARH: Akali leader Simranjit Singh Mann has alleged an Intelligence Bureau conspiracy to prevent his party from coming to power in Punjab.
He said the IB had brought about an agreement between Bhai Manjit Singh Badal Kabul Singh and Amrinder Singh to work together according to its plan He said Home Minister Sahay visited Amritsar last week in this connection. Mann said Capt Rode had also been brought into the intelligence network. That was why this group revolted against him recently he said. Mann said tens of millions of rupees had been distributed among this combine He warned the center that any such effort at striking a deal with any group other than militants and his party would see the repeat of the Rajiv-Longowal accord.
