NEW DELHI (PTI): Noted journalist and editor of ‘pot’ Rajinder Sareen who died on April 20 after a protracted illness was cremated here on April 21 in the presence of a large number of friends and colleagues.
Sareen started his journalistic career with the Hindustan Times and subsequently worked for the tribune Hindu and the Kashmir Times. He was suffering from cancer for the past few years.
Sareen had also started a special information service ‘spot’ which provided news from Afghanistan Rancladesh and Pakistan.
Condoling his death the minister of state for information and broadcasting Ajit Panjab said with the passing of Sareen the country has lost one of the most respected journalists.
