KARNAL, India: Three members of the family of Dr. Harnam Singh, Communist Party of India Legislator from Shahbad constituency of Haryana were shot dead by three unknown gunmen. According to reports reaching here, the dead persons included Kushdev Singh, a son of Harnam Singh, Gurdeep Singh, ‘one of his close relations and Gurpreet Kaur, wife of Kushdev Singh. Dr. Harnam Singh’s wife Jaswant Kaurand a close relation, Hira Singh, and two other residents of Shahbad, Som Nath and. Ram Nath who were injured in the shooting have been shifted to P.GI. Chandigarh. The police have recovered the body of one of the gunmen on the scene of the killings. According to Mr. Prithipal, another son of Harnam Singh, a gunman was Chased by the people when he tried to run away after the killings but it could not be confirmed as to who shot him down,
