VANCOUVER, BC: Kartar Singh Ahluwalia, 50, arrived here on December 10th after running across Canada to raise money for research into and treatment of life-threatening diseases of children. Ahluwalia, who started his marathon run with the backing of his Lions Club in Vancouver, began in St. John’s.
New Found land on March 4th. Despite weather conditions that ranged from ice to blistering heat he ran an average of 20 to 30 miles per day.
“Children need our help. If we all don’t help, they are the ones who suffer”. WSN congratulates Ahluwalia.
