NEW DELHI: Former Union Minister and senior Congress leader H.K_L. Bhawgat failed to appear before a Delhi court and the court extended his judicial remand till February 15 when a decision on the bail application will be taken.
Mr. Bhagat, who had earlier twice failed to appear before the court, was not produced by the Tihar jail authorities on health grounds.
Mr. Bhagat was remanded to judicial custody by Mr. Dhingra on Januat but he could not be sent to Tihar jail as he collapsed in the court soon after and was admitted to the G B Pant Hospital where he underwent treatment.
The septuagenarian leader is at present undergoing treatment at Deenyal Upadhyay Hospital after his condition deteriorated when he was brought to the Tihar jail from the Pant Hospital.
