MOSCOW:  India and Russia have agreed, in principle, to sign an extradition treaty between the two countries for which a draft agreement has already been submitted by India to Russians.

This was announced by the visiting Indian Home Minister, S.B.Chavan and the Russian Interior Minister, Viktor Yerin at a joint press conference in Russian Interior Ministry.

“The Russians are studying the entire draft agreement and thereafter they will sign a regular agreement, Chavan said.
