New Delhi — ‘‘Your life is very short,’’ says the second threatening letter received on Monday by Mr. S.L. Khanna, additional chief metropolitan magistrate, who is carrying out the committal proceedings of the accused in the Indira Gandhi assassination case.
Police sources said that they had been informed about a letter dated March 24 and addressed to Mr. Khanna.
The letter, which was written in English, said, “Your life is very short. If you want the life of your family, accept our proposal.”
Although the letter did not elaborate on the ‘‘proposal,” it was signed by “Yesh Pal Dalmia,’’ asking Mr. Khanna to meet him at G.T. Road in Shahadara in East Delhi for a “pact.” It also gave a telephone number 203495.
