The paramount need of Amrit and its urgency has not been even’ remotely doubted. Amrit is integral to Sikhism and every Sikh must aspire to qualify for this divine benediction of the Gurus. The Editorial only attempted to voice a word of caution, in the context of Sikhs having not been very careful with the Sikh symbols in this part of the world, regarding laying down of conditions for eligibility to any office, lest such an approach should adversely affect unity among the Sikhs which is the urgent imperative of the situation. — Editor)
