NAWASHAHAR, India: Thirteen children and two teachers were killed and thirty children injured seriously when the wall of an old building adjoining the Tagore Model School collapsed. The injured were immediately rushed to the civil hospital where they were given first aid. Of the 22 children who were rushed to C.M.C. Hospital, Ludhiana, two died and condition of the six was said to be serious. Those who have been admitted to Civil Hospital were discharged after they were given first-aid. Those killed were in the age group of 8-11. The incident occurred aro-und 8:30 a.m. as the kindergarden and class 6 was being given test in the courtyard of the school. The students who normally stay in the rooms were made to sit in the sun after heavy rains.
