YUBA CITY: The Board of Directors of the Yuba-Sutter Chamber of Commerce has elected Kashmirs. Gillastheir 1995 President. Mr, Gill is the Chamber’s youngest President at age 30 and the first minority President. Gill works at Feather River State Bank as Assistant Vice-president, Loan Officer, specializing in agricultural and commercial lending.

Kashmir. Gill will continue the Chamber’s focus on member diversity. Mr. Gill promises to increase and chance the Chamber’s ability to coordinate and collaborate in activities and programs that will affect minority business creation and services within the organization.

Mr. Gill recognizes the importance for businesses to be and remain competitive on basic business principles, “I recognize the need to work closely with the membership, our Chamber counterparts, state and local government and overall business communities so that we may represent our constituency regarding your concerns and issues surrounding economic and leadership development. I welcome your input and hope you will help me and the Board of Directors of the Yuba Sutter Chamber of Commerce to become better at serving you.”

Gill’s roots are in agriculture, Kash was raised on a Yuba City ranch where his parents farmed! peaches, prunes and walnuts and is today a current peach and prune’ farmer, He graduated from Chico State University with a BS in Agricultural Business. Gill has served on the Chamber Board for four years, was Board Treasurer in 1993, and is the current Vice-president and chairman of the Chamber’s Ag Committee, He also serves on the advisory committee for Yuba College’s Extended Opportunity Program and Services and is a Yuba City Rotarian. Mr, Gill is married, has two children, and is a member of the Tierra Buena Sikh Temple.
