Dr. Gurpartap Singh Birk’s sentencing is set for May 2, 1986. It is important that maximum number of Sikhs should attend the court on that date. It is also important that letters should be addressed to the judge by those who know Dr. Birk or who are familiar with the case, ‘The writers should state who they are, using their professional letter-heads, if possible and attest to points such as Dr. Birk’s good character, the stress resulting from the anti-Sikh riots, destruction of Akal Takht and massacre of innocent Sikh pilgrims.
