OTTAWA, Canada: World Sikh Organization categorically denies the story printed in Friday’s Vancouver Sun on September 4, 1987, that “Indian police arrested Daljit Singh of Toronto crossing Pakistan border where he claimed to be a W.S.0. Member and charged that WSO has sent him there”.
National office has checked with Toronto chapter and the person claiming he to be Daljit Singh is not a W.S.O. member.
World Sikh Organization has a track record of working diplomatically and within the legal frame work. It appears that this is another event staged by Indian government machinery to discredit W.S.0, an umbrella body and the only organization not falling in their traps.
