GUWAHATI(PTI): Aug.24 A wild elephant killed four persons, including a child, and seriously injured an other at Kherani Chapari in Darrang district in the north eastern Indian state of Assam recently, according to official sources.

The Tusker escaping from the Orage wildlife sanctuary had also caused widespread destruction in the village prior to the killing.

Earlier this month, four elephants were poisoned to death and another was left in a critical condition by some unidentified People at Badanad sanctuary in the district.
