Bangalore: A controversy has cropped up over the question of who is to get the Rs one lakh reward announced by the Delhi police for information regarding the whereabouts of Sushil Sharma.
According to one report, Sharma was “arrested” by the Bangalore District Police. But Sharma’s advocate, S. Ananthanarayanan, has said that he asked ‘Sharma to surrender to the police so as to avoid “complications.”
According to sources in the police department, Ananthanarayanan wants to claim the Rs one lakh reward as he says that he is responsible for handing ‘over Sharma to the police.
The announcement regarding the beneficiary of the reward would be known only after the New Delhi police initiate action.
