NEW DELHI: Vishwanath Pratap Singh strongly repudiated Benazir Bhutto’s charge that India was interfering in the Sindh affairs.

The charge of the Pakistani prime minister is baseless,” VP Singh said replying to questions after his return from Malaysia after attending a G15 summit.

He, however regretted that those who had gone to Sind from here 40 years ago were being persecuted. This was happening after three generations of partition migrants had lived in Sindh.

Sindh in Pakistan has been witnessing Pathan Mohajir rivalry for long. Mohajirs are the Urdu speaking people who migrated to Pakistan after the partition of the Indian Sub-continent in 1947.
