CHANDIGARH : Punjab Government has ordered a re-shuffle of eight senior officers of the rank of A.I.G. and D.G in the State police, After the appointment of the new Director General of police, police administration in the State has been revamped. The notable features of these transfers are that certain officers who were known to be not keen to deal with the freedom fighters have been sidelined. Mr. Sujit Singh, LG. of Intelligence, has been made I.G, headquarters in place of Mr. H: Sekhon who is on leave. Mr. Gurbachan Jagat, D.I.G Intelligence, has been asked to look after the charge of .G. Intelligence until further orders. Mr. R.L. Sarangal, I.G, Computer, will hold an additional charge of LG. Crime relieving Mr. D.S. Mangat of his additional charges. Mr, PS. Hura, D.I.G,, is the new director of vigilance, Mr. Ajit Singh D.I.G. Counter Intelligence has been made DALG. Security in place of Mr. S.J.B. Ohri, who holds charge of D.I.G. administration.
