CHANDIGARH: Mr. Harpinder Singh Jinda, the man accused in certain robberies in Delhi and Gujarat, escaped from police custody in Ahmedabad. A senior police officer told that Jinda was brought to court for the hearing of case against him, After the hearing, he complained of a stomach ache therefore the police guards took him into a restaurant when one of the guards went to get water he gave the police a slip. Jinda was arrested by Gujarat police in Delhi in January after he led an armed gang which robbed three lakh rupees from the Baroda Bank. According to the police sources Mr. Harpinder Singh Jindha is also an accused in certain killings in Delhi.
