CANDIGARH, India:Mr. Tarsem Singh Kohar, who is suspected to have organized and executed the Muktsar killing of 15 bus passengers last month has been arrested. Kohar group is believed to be 20 strong and suspected of fifty murders in Gurdas pur, Hoshiarpur and Faridkot district. He was nabbed in a naka bandhi near village Dyalpur on Amritsar Jullundur road by the Kapurthala police on August 12. According to Mr. J.S, Riberio, Director General of Punjab police, Kohar and Mandeep Singh Chehhru were arrested two days earlier at Jullundur. They were, allegedly, the leaders of the hit squads in the state.

An official spokesman told in Chandigarh that Kohar was arrested when he was travelling in a bus which was stopped at naka bandi.

Sukhdev Singh of village Maulvi kot and Jagdish Kaur of village Madipur near Jullundur were also arreied, Tarsem Singh Kohar who was carrying a reward of one lakh rupees was a General of Khalistan Mukti Fauj, According to police, he had gunned down persons at Dasuya, Tanda, Garhshankar,  Hoshiarpur, Ramdas and Ajnala.

There was an anonymous telephone call during the past few days that stated to blow up the vital installations in and around Bombay, Maharashtra Home Secretary told new men at Bombay. Addressing a press conference, he said that these installations included a public sector oil refinery.
