Vaidya, An unsigned note dropped into the office letter boxes of some of the newspapers stated that this was in retaliation for the destruction of Akal Takhat during
Operation Bluestar in June, 1984, It also hinted that other military commanders involved in the Operation Bluestar as future targets. Note was written by General Baldey Singh who is described as the acting Chief of Khalistan Commando Force after Mandeep Singh was arrested.
