AMRITSAR, Punjab, India: The five member “Panthic Committee” asked the acting Akal Takht Chief Prof, Darshan Singh to attend the proposed “Sarbat Khalsa” on October 22 here “to clarify his viewpoint”.

The committee Press note signed by the five member alleged that the acting Akal Takht chief during his short visit to Amritsar on October 2 held a secret meeting with district police officials and provided them with the guidelines to obstruct the said “Sarbat Khalsa”.

The Committee denied that it had anything to do with the displaying of posters on the “parkarma” walls inside the Golden Temple Complex, advocating the killing of members of a particular community.

“The committee had nothing to do with the said posters and moreover the person who stuck the posters did not seek permission from the Committee for doing the same”. “The killing of persons belonging to a particular community will continue till the killing of Sikh youths in fake encounters is stopped,” the press note warned.
