NEW DELHI: Randhir Singh, the Indian Olympic association (IOA) secretary general (Adityan group), Wednesday decried the threat by R.L. Anand to withdraw the Indian contingent from the Beijing Asian games.
He said, the dispute between the two factions in IOA was regarding only three persons, the chef demission, the deputy chef demission and assistant secretary.
The two groups are agreed upon the other 225 sports persons, he said,
Anand, IOA secretary general had said they had asked the Beijing Asian games Organising committee to either accept all the nominations of else India would be forced to reassess the participation.
It would be stupid to threaten to pull out India in such a situation, he said.
He said to resolve the situation the two IOC members in India had put up the names of three neutral persons and the Shukla group should agree.
