RICHMOND,  B.C.: Sonia Sidhu of Richmond, British Columbia, Canada, daughter of Lamber Singh Sidhu and Jasbir Kaur Sidhu, niece of Hardeep Singh Dosanjh and Surinder Kaur Dosanjh of Milpitas, California, graduated from the University of British Columbia, B.C. with distinction.

Sonia Sidhu graduated with honors in Bachelor of Science degree in pharmacology and therapeutics from the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, B.C., Canada. She obtained first class honors. She was the most outstanding student in honors pharmacology and therapeutics. She was put on the Dean’s Honors’ Roll list of top 20 out of 700800 students for obtaining first class marks over four years. She has been accepted into the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University, Montreal, where she will obtain the degree of Doctor of Medicine and Master of Surgery (M.D.C.M.) starting in August of 1987.

Rewards: She received awards in 19851986, 1987 (NSERC) National Science and Engineering Research Council of Canada, awards which enabled her to do research dealing with cancer, parkinson’s disease and Alzheimers disease. She received University and provincial government scholarships for every year she has been in university. She received the Esther R. Anderson Memorial Award for being the most outstanding student in the Honors Pharmacology and Therapeutics program.
