LONDON: Sikhs and Muslims living in England have joined together to form a Sikh-Muslim Welfare Society with Mr. M. Hansi as Chairman and S. Kishan Singh Parwana as President. Mr. M, Babar and Mr. Mushtaq Abmed will act as Treasurer and information Secretary respectively.

The society will attempt to create greater understanding between the two communities and address itself to the common problems faced by them especially in preserving their cultural traditions. Mr. Parwana informed World Sikh News that branches of the society would shortly be opened in U.S.A. and Canada also, The common predicament of the two communities in India has brought them together and there is increasing realization of the close affinity of the two religions.
