NEW YORK: Nirmal Singh, 28, an Indian national plunged to his death while escaping from immigration detention near Kennedy International Airport.

 Singh who was travelling with a forged passport was held over upon his arrival by immigration agents, according to Nina camero the NIS representative

Nirmal was sent over to hotel viscount for the overnight stay where he tried to flee from his 4th

Floor room by tying sheets and his turban. But the escapade ended in tragedy when the makeshift rope pave away.

Nirmal was pronounced dead of massive head injuries.

Meanwhile Harnek Singh, 24, alias Kamaljit Khurrana also bearing a forged passport managed to escape but was captured after six hour search at the airport and was unhurt.
