LOUISVILLE,KY: The Kentucky Derby was won by Sea Hero when the colt under Jerry Bailey raced through a field of 19 aspirants in the race; It was the crowning event in the colorful career of 85yearold owner of the horse, Paul Mellon. This was one of the few goals which had eluded him and he had only recently started to scale down his operations in an effort to put his estate in order.
