Every year since 1776 the people of the USA have somehow celebrated their liberation from British rule one of the first colonies to escape the tyranny of “Taxation without representation,”
Today, the holiday is characterized by picnics and family celebrations and fireworks dis plays that commemorate “the! Bombs bursting in air that proved thru the night that the flag was still there.”
Whenever an American sings the Star Spangled Banner, our national anthem we celebrate our liberation and freedom from rule by monarchy.
July 4th may be our actual independence day, actually it is the day of ratification but our celebration of freedom is never ending.
