LUDHIANA, Punjab, India: ‘he lawyers of Panjab observed a complete boycott of the “courts in the State to protest against the passage of new Anti-Terrorist Act by Indian Parliament, They described the new act as a “Black Law” and urged upon the government to withdraw this Anti People Act. The Bar Association of Punjab and Haryana High (Court also boycotted Punjab and Haryana High Courts in Chandigarh.

At Ludhiana, 200 lawyers headed by Mr. DS. Gill, staged a demonstration and raised anti Act slogans and paraded in the different bazars of the city. They were wearing black badges at the demonstration.

The reports of similar demonstrations, protests and boycotts of the courts have been received from all over State.
