CHANDIGARAH India: ‘Gunmen killed two persons, including a Border Security Force sub inspector, in an ambush and ‘wounded another in Punjab.

A report from Jullundur said a subsector was killed) and lance naik wounded when a BS.F. patrol was ambushed on a road bridge near Sarchoor village in Gurdaspur district on Saturday night.

Sources in the BS,F. state headquarters told UNI that sub inspector Kundan Singh, who was seriously wounded along with lance naik Chaman Lal died in Amnitsar’s SGRB hospital shortly before midnight. The ambush occurred around 10 p.m. when the patrol members were going in a van, according to a report from Batala.

A report from Amritsar said the police on Sunday morning recovered the body of a milkman, Satpal, from a field near Jhandar villager under Majitha police station.
