Krishnamurti was born May 11, 1895, in Madanapalle, India and was educated in England where he wrote several books of Poetry.

In the 1920’s, he travelled to the Ojai Valley, with a brother when ‘was suffering from tuberculosis, he began visiting the area regularly and made it his home after he was granted a permanent residence visa,

His last public appearance in the United States was in Washington

In 1929, Krishnamurti repudiated organized religions in favour o a belief that to find the truth, one must look within oneself, not to 2 spiritual leader or teacher. Krishnamurti wrote more than 40 books and the premise of the argument in them was that man, if he is to be free, must become aware of the psychological conditioning that prevents a person from seeing what is real,

Seven schools were formed to teach his philosophy: The Oak Grove School in Ojai, the Brock wood Park Educational Centre in Hampshire, England, and five in India.

In accordance with Krishnamurti wishes, there will be no funeral or memorial service, His remains are to be cremated and scattered by members of the Krishnamurti Foundation of America, the Krishnamurti Foundation Trust Ltd, of England and the Krishnamurti Foundation in India.

Krishnamurti never married and left no immediate family.
