CHANDIGARH: The Haryana Government has decided not to transfer any teacher for the next two years. The decision will however not apply to the cases taken up on administrative grounds. The decision has been taken to raise the education standard in the state. There will also be no inter-district transfer of teachers

In response to a memorandum given by the Haryana Government Teachers association Chief Minister Bhajan Lal today took a under of decisions to improve the lot of teachers. Hindi and Punjabi teachers having educational qualifications of “Prabhakat” “Gyani” and JBT would be placed in the pay scale of Rs 1400-2600

The headmasters of the higher secondary schools placed in the pay scale of Rs 2000-3500 will be granted class II status. At the time of promotion to the post of principal the benefit would be shared by lecturers and headmasters in the 60:40 ratios.
