ISLAMABAD: A new organization “World Kashmir Freedom Movement” has been launched in Pakistan.

The chief of the organization Dr. Ayub Thakur told newsmen here Thursday that it would strive at regional and international levels to bring pressure on the Indian

Government to hold a plebiscite in the valley.

Dr. Thakur said his organization would provide material and political assistance to the separatists in the valley.

He said the governing body would comprise 15 members of which 11 will be from the north Indian state of Kashmir and four from Pakistan occupied Kashmir. He claimed that a general assembly had been formed with 400 members.

 POONCH: Pakistan has intensified its military activities along the line of actual control (LAC) in the border state of Kashmir with development of additional troops and trained commandos at its forward positions recently, according to Indian press reports.

The military commandos trained in “guerrilla warfare tactics” at Chirat near the Afghanistan border had been moved to Uri, Tanghdar, Teetwal and Hajipeer sectors along with Mujahids, and Razakars according to security forces sources here.

Mujahids” disbanded after their failure in the Kashmir valley during the 19 65 operation, were recently reorganized after special training in handling of sophisticated weapons and in subversion, “Mujahids” have been assigned a special task to identify “infiltration routes” and “guides” for Kashmiri militants and to provide shelter to them near the LAC till they succeed in sneaking into the Indian territory, the sources said. Reports indicated that more than 15 groups of Kashmiri militants who had received training at various camps in Pakistan, were hiding in villages adjoining the LAX and were planning to infiltrate into India, the sources said.
