Mohinder Singh Sandhu, a young and promising star of the Sikh community, was born on Nov. 10, 1949 in village Khassan Dist. Kapurthala. His parents S. Sucha Singh and Mrs. Gurdial Kaur migrated from Sialkot (Pakistan) in 1947 the family’s basic roots go back to great General S. Sham Singh Attari.

Sandhu graduated from engineering college Kurukshetra University in 1973 in civil engineering. Thereafter, he joined the Punjab Irrigation Department as SDO and served up to 1975.

He got married to Surinder Kaur of Abohar in 1975 and the same year he migrated to U.S.A. He obtained MS degree in civil engineering from U.C. Berkeley.

Since 77, Sandhu has worked for the state of California in various departments relating to health and environmental protection. Presently he is a supervising engineer with the Department of Health in Long Beach.

Sandhu’s are the proud parents of two children Aunrik (9) and Sujan Kaur.

Mohinder’s thinking is totally changed after the 1984 attack on the Golden Temple. Since then, he has been involved in the community service.

Sandhu’s ambition and goal is to live to see Khalistan become a reality and finally go back to the Republic of Khalistan to serve the people.

He is dedicated to the Sikh cause and strives hard to educate the American people about repression being done to the Sikhs in India by the occupation forces.
