July 1, celebrated as Canada Day, was celebrated by millions of Canadians, In Ottawa, thousands gathered for pomp, pageantry and a star studded variety show on the Parliament hill, In Montreal thousands watched Canada Day parade with marching bands and floats reflecting the city’s multicultural place, In Toronto, Queen’s Park and Northern Philip square took on the ambience of village greens as thousands came down to celebrate. Kim Campbell, Prime Minister of Canada began with a sunrise ceremony in St John’s and was home in Vancouver for summer trip that took her through several time zones.
