Trinidad born Rabin Singh received a memorable homecoming here on Sunday, when he took the day off with the permission of his team manager Srinivas Venkatraghvan to visit his ancestral home in Princes? Town. Robin’s parents stay in Princes Town, a little over an hour’s drive from here.
There was a huge crowd of admirers waiting to greet the cricketer who became a naturalized citizen of India earlier this year after spending the mandatory five years in the country. Robin, who made a rather indifferent International debut for India against the West Indies in the third one day international at the Queen’s Park Oval last Saturday was profusely par landed and hugged by nearly a hundred admirers.
