CALGARY, Alberta, Can: Master Jaswant Singh Ji of village Sshauli, Ludhiana, Punjab, passed away at the age of 81 at Calgary, Alberta on October 8, 1986. He was a well known teacher of Mathematics. Urdu and Persian, who served for more than forty years at Khalsa School Mukhisar and Khalsa School, Guru Sar Sadhar. He was a close associate of Bhai Sahib Randhir Singh ji of Narangwal, a well known and a great religious per sonality of the Khalsa Panth, Master Ji was a strong supporter of the Panthic cause and Wasim prisoned in various morchas,

Master Ji was also a great missionary who inculcated the spirit of Gurmat’ among his students, Prof, Harbans Singh, Edit Chief of Encyclopedia of Sikhism, who was Master Ji’s student at Muktsar fifty years ago, paid his tribute in the following words I cannot tell you what Master Ji meant to me, This had been one of the earliest influences upon me, and owed so much to him. His has been a decisive hand in shaping my career, my mind, my imagination, and my personality. As Took back, I wonder that one person could do so much to enrich the life of another. Master Ji was the first ‘one to. Awaken my literary sensibility and consciousness. That was when I sat at his feet as a school boy. Today, with tears in my eyes, T pay my respectful homage to the memory of that nobleman who was So generous of nature, who always helped and cared for other, who was utterly above malice, and who gave me so much in life. Akal Purakh bless his soul”.

Prayer services were held in his memory at Gurdwara Sahib, Calgary, Alberta, South hall, U.K.,Surrey, B.C., and his native village Sahauli, Ludhiana. Thousands of his students are spread all over the world and cherish his sweet memory in their  hearts.
