BRAMALEA: Mr. Malhi concluded his summer recess with a full schedule of events. He presided at the Grand Opening of the 141st Annual Brampton Fall Fair. Malhi commented on the strength; and vitality of the Fair and applauded the efforts of the organizers in continuing this important tradition in the community; Malhi participated’ in the Terry Fox Runs held in Malton and Bramalea. At the Malton event held at the Westwood Mall, Malhj officially started the proceedings by welcoming all to the annual run. Malhi spoke of the vision and determination of Terry Fox and the inspiration he provides to all Canadians. Malhi said, “We are all today here to pay tribute to ‘Terry Fox and his dream and to continue his efforts in finding a cure for cancer.” The Bramalea run also had over 40 teams participating in a volleyball tournament to raise funds. As he prepared for the resumption of Parliament, Malhi stressed that the fall proceedings will further indicate to Canadians the determination of the Liberal government to fulfill the mandate it won one year ago. This government has a clear agenda to improving the economy and pro viding jobs, we will continue of this course,” stated Malhi.
