CHANDIGARH: Justice Surjit Singh Bains, a former judge of Punjab and Haryana High Court has been elected Chairman of Punjab Citizens For Democracy organization formed by the intelligentsia of the State, A coordination ‘committee of the organization has also been formed. It includes Dr. Gurcharan Singh Grewal, Col. Gurdial Singh, Mr, Dev Raj Sharma, Col, Chanan Singh Dhillon, Mr. GS, Gill, Mr. Gurdev Singh and Mr. Harbaz Singh Gill. Mr. GS. Gill said that the aim of the organization stop protect civil liberties and promote human and constitutional rights for the people of Punjab. ‘The organization is presently investigating the recent happenings at Nakodarin Jullundir Dist. and is likely to release its report in a week’s time,
