MOGA: Mr. Bhupinder Singh LAS. The district magistrate Farid Kot has instituted a judicial enquiry into the circumstances of the death of Mr. Mohinder Singh of V. Lakhan Kalan, Distr FaridKot on August 11, 1987.
According to the eye witnesses and the leaders of the village Mr. Mohinder Singh was arrested by the police in the presence of the whole village.
According to these sources he was murdered by the police while he was in the police custody.
The parents of Mr. Mohinder Singh had demanded such an enquiry by alleging that their son Was killed by the police in a fake encounter while he was in its custody.
