JANMU: The minister of state for internal security, Mr. Rajesh Pilot, has  said the security and intelligence  network throughout the Country was being beefed up and reorganized to counter the challenge, posed by Pakistan’s inter-Services intelligence (ISI),”

Talking to reporters here recently, Mr. Pilot said the ISI was trying its best to destabilize India by disturbing the peace in different parts of the country, regarding which enough evidence had come to light in the recent past “However, our agencies are competent enough to counter this challenge and the ISI would not be allowed to succeed,” Pilot said

A coordinated system of different security and intelligence agencies was already under operation in Jammu and Kashmir and the north-eastern states, Mr. Pilot said.

Referring to some provocations by Pakistani troops along the Indo-Pak border, the minister said, “India is a peace loving country and we will not be provoked by these pinpricks, However, if Pakistan ‘Stretches India’s patience too far, it would be bad for that country.”

On the demand of the state government to send additional security forces to meeting present challenge posed by militants, he said the Center was sending more Border Security Force (BSF) and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) battalions to strengthen security in the Kashmir Valley. When he was asked as to how the Center planned to initiate the political proves in Kashmir, the minister said the involvement of political persons was the basic condition for initiating the political process.

 The prime minister, Mr. Pilot said, was keen to have full support of all the political parties on this issue, because “Jammu and Kashmiris a national problem.”

Pilot said there was a Visible change as the people were not only coming to him for personal problems but also for a community problems like construction of roads, medical facilities and the educational problems of their wards.
