* The Geneva based International Committee of the Red Cross has expressed its “deep concern” about the use of its emblem by the Indian flotilla of boats carrying relief supplies to Tamils in Sri Lanka. Its spokesman Serge Caccia sai dthat the Geneva based agency has stated its misgivings to the Indian authorities. He said that any relief convoy using the Red Cross emblem should not enter the territory of another country without that country’s approval.
* Tamils in Sri Lanka and other oppressed minorities need international sympathy and support, however, no county has the right to take law into its own hand.
* How would India react if China were to deliver “humanitarian relief supplies” to the Sikhs in Punjab, the Muslims in Kashmir or the Christians in Nagaland?
* India invited reporters to accompany its “mission” in Sri Lanka. How interesting, but hypocritical! India launched its bloody army assault on the Golden Temple Complex (The Sikh Vatican) under a complete news blackout and massacred thousands of Sikhs — men, women, and children.
* Punjab continues to be out of bounds to foreign press and for the 36th straight months. What has India to hide from the outside world? Nobody can verify what is happening there. The world reads about Punjab and the Sikhs through India’s misinformation and fabrication news network and western media reprints all the “official lies” without raising pertinent questions and expressing its moral indignation.
* All attempts by the International Committee of Red Cross and Amnesty International to go to Punjab have been rebuffed by India. Similar requests by five United States Congressmen and ten Members of the British Parliament to go to Punjab on a fact-finding mission were not granted. Recently, honorable Congressman Norman Shumway was denied a visit to Punjab.
