LUCKNOW: The massive combing operation launched to flush out Punjab militants in the Hazra police station area in Pilibhit district in the northern Indian Uttar Pradesh state, on Sunday continued Monday though no success has been achieved so far, according to police headquarters here.

The police said that three per- sons, including two police personnel, were killed in an explosion by the militants and another was shot dead. Two others who sustained serious splinter injuries had been admitted to a nearby hospital. Uttar Pradesh minister of state for home affairs S.P. Sahi and state director general of police (DGP) Parkash Singh have left for Pilibhit to supervise the combing operation.
