MCFARLAND, CA: Congratulations on the grand and gala opening of Singh Medical Clinic (after remodeling). This has not only doubled the facility in size to over 2000 sq. ft., but also provided a wide variety of medical coverage in terms of Cardio Respiratory disease evaluation and monitoring for the Community of McFarland, Delano, Earlimart, and ‘Wasco. Shafter and Lost Hills. ‘The opening ceremony was on March 23, 1996, The program started with Nitnem at 8:00 a.m., lots of folks and kings were present to add to the great zeal and enthusiasm with which each unique ceremony was performed, The arrangements were perfectly wonderful.

After the Nitnem, there was melodious kirtan from Bhai Surjit Singh and Jatha of Planz Gurdwara, Bakersfield, followed by Bhai Ranbir Singh and Jatha of Lamont Gurdwara and Bhai Gurbachan Singh and Jatha of Fresno Gurdwara.

Stage Secretary was nicely performed by Manjit Singh Ji, R.N.; Katha of Sardar Dayal ‘Singh Ji and poem from’ Sardar Garbekeh Sine Ii Dhalign added to the beautiful Darbar.

In the end Mrs. Taran Kaur Singh recited a very appropriate Shabad ‘Rogi Ka Prabha Khandan Rog.’ This was followed by most humble words from Dr. Manbir Singh of Singh Medical Clinic; he thanked each and every person for coming and requested very kindly not to leave till Langar was served.

The same session continued in the afternoon with formal ribbon cutting and speeches from local city officials. The program was well attended by over 200 persons and had a pleasing international community touch as there was so many sr. citizens, Sikh sangat and hospital representatives. Music for the party was from Manic Bindra and Brenda of Bakersfield. Young and old, everybody enjoyed the rich music and sumptuous food to relish. The special feature after Mayor’s inauguration of the clinic was recognition of the most aged patient of the clinic, Mrs. Cenovia Flores and Mary Camposselma Sikh Parade a glorious display.
