NEWYARK, N.J.: The rehearing of the extradition case against Sukhminder Singh Sandhu and Ranjit Singh Gill is scheduled for April 12, 1988. The rehearing has been sought by the State Attorney General’s office in view of the terrorist death threats sent by the former Prosecutor, Judy Russell to herself as well as to Magistrate Ronald Hedges.

The threats, it is believed, played a key role in influencing the judgment. The magistrate had ruled that they could be extradited and had given one month to the accused to file an appeal with the District Judge against his judgment.

The Indian government is seeking their extradition in the murder case of Gen. A.S. Vaidya and Lalit Maken and his wife.
