MADRAS(PTI): Star turned poliician Sivaji Ganeshan and two others on June 25 quit former premier V.P,Singh’s Janata Dal party in context of organizational elections in the party.

Ganeshan, who is also the president of the Tamil Nadu unit of the party, said in a letter to party president S.R.Bommai that was resigning because the party high command had behaved in an) “unfair manner’ in the context of organic Last week, the party’s AllIndia general secretary, Arangil Sreedharan, flew to Madras and after holding talks with the office bearers, postponed the oranizational elections scheduled for this month. Along with Ganesan, T.P.S.Tippaiah, election officer for Tamil Nadu and chairman of the party’s disciplinary action committee in Tamil Nadu and Sengaliappan, the state unit’s parliamentary board chairman had also resigned from the party for the same reasons.

Ganesan was not available for comments.
