New Delhi, India — At least four people were killed Saturday in floods in Uttar Pradesh, raising the death toll in the worst floods to hit the northern state in 25 years to 400, the Press Trust of india reported.

The latest rains in Uttar Pradesh caused homes to collapse and inundated thousands of acres following three and half months of monsoons, the new agency said.

At least four people were killed, raising the total number of flood related fatalities to 400, the news agency said, quoting official sources in the state capital of Luck now, about 280 miles southeast of New Delhi.
